This Tutorial is written with the assumption that you are moderately familiar with PSP 7 and its tools.

For this tutorial you will need the Eliminate White Filter that you can download here & The Variations filter, I downloaded it awhile back, and I couldn't find the download site so I've uploaded it. If anyone knows where the official site is please email me. You can download it here.

1. Select a photo to use, and open it in PSP.. It can be of anything, but a photo of a person works best. I'm using a picture of Viggo Mortensen... because he's yummy. :o)

2. Go to Layers>promote to layer

3. Go to Colors>adjust>brightness/contrast
This setting will vary depending on the photo you are using. For someone will very light or pale skin.. you should set the brightness to 50. Someone with Olive skin, 75. Someone with dark skin, 85-100 depending on how dark the skin is. Viggo has a more Olive skin tone so I'm going to set the Brightness to 75 and the contrast to 0.

4. Go to Colors>Grey Scale

5. Go to Colors>Increase Color Depth>16 million

6. Go to Effects>Plugins>Transparency>Eliminate White

7. Go to Effects>Plugins>Adjust>Variations
Click on the different colors until you have a color you like and click ok.

8. Go to Layers>Merge>Merge All

There you have it...

you can feather the edges or add whatever effects you want... here's some examples of stuff I've done with it:

The image you just made is yours to do whatever you want with. No part of this tutorial may be offered for download anywhere else. You may link to it with a text link only. Violators will be hung by toenails.

Thank You to Bel for coming up with a name for this tutorial. :o)
